the light shines on your smiling face
making a glow that cannot be erased
but behind that smile lies the truth
it’s the heart of someone that is confused
oh light that glows so bright
come down from the place in which you lie
and bring us something that is true
and stop masking the heart of one confused
When night falls we lose our way
the masks come off and we beging to play
exploring the shapes our bodies can take
and learning exactly what we can make
oh night what a relief
from the masks that we hide beneath
it brings something that is true
to the heart of one confused
lay down your sword…
put down your shield…
the light can no longer mask the way we feel…
The shimmering disguise we no longer need
for by the night we have been freed.
